Minutes for the regular National Finance Committee meeting April 20, 2010.<br />

Meeting convened at 8:40 PM (ET) a quorum being present, the Chair being<br />
absent and the Secretary being present.<br />

	In the absence of the Chair Alberto Luera took the Chair for the meeting.<br />
He noted that  Arlene Engleheart was also in attendance at the meeting.<br />

Report from the Executive Director 8:46 PM (ET)<br />
<br />
	Pacifica Executive Director Arlene Engleheart reported on Pacifica's<br />
financial situation. She said that she was putting together information<br />
for the PNB meeting this weekend. She's putting together timetables for<br />
all projects. The audit took a lot of time till 2 weeks ago. The audit was<br />
thorough. Pacifica Management will be taking actions suggested by the<br />
audit.<br />
	In response to a question the Executive Director said that the Financial<br />
Accountability Plan approved by the PNB a couple of months ago was not in<br />
place yet but would be soon.<br />
	She said that the Spring CPB checks have come in, the National Office is<br />
working on disbursement of the funds. She's also looking at the central<br />
services situation.<br />
	She said that we'll be up to date with FSRN through April and will be<br />
current with Democracy Now! By the end of the year.<br />
	She said that 3 stations had reasonably good 'thons this Spring, others<br />
had problems. Overall we're running behind and not bringing in enough to<br />
pay all bills at the stations and nationally.<br />

Report from the CFO on the status of the National Office and Pacifica<br />

	CFO Lavarn Williams reported that central services have not been paid as<br />
per the budget, WBAI has not paid any central services for FY10, and so<br />
the National Office is under funded. She explained what the National<br />
Office pays for and said that as of tonight the National Office was owed<br />
$860,756 in central services payments for FY10 and $1,917,673 in central<br />
services payments all together.<br />
	The committee discussed the report.<br />
	It was noted that the time line for the FY11 budget had called for the<br />
CFO to meet with the Treasurers to outline the budget development process<br />
and paperwork submission and to call for budget priorities to be discussed<br />
in various venues. This was discussed also.<br />
	It was agreed that at the next meeting this would be done.<br />
